Birthday Party x Baby Shower

If you haven't been to a birthday party and a baby shower at the same time, never heard of someone celebrating these two occasions in one day, then I guess I will be the first to tell you that it's so much fun. As I told you in a previous post here, I was having a birthday party slash baby shower at home. My friends first thought about throwing a baby shower for me, but I insisted that I'll just do a simple birthday party. And, instead of having a list of personal wishes, I made a list of things I wish to receive for my baby. That way, my friends didn't have to shoulder my baby shower expenses or buy extra gift for me.

Everyone loved my mini dessert corner with cake, candies, and mallows and my DIY party pom-poms hanging over it. With the help of my aunt and cousins, I prepared a feast of my favorite merienda like pansit bihon, pork barbecue, puto at dinuguan, ginataang bilo-bilo, maja blanca, and ube cake.

My first batch of guests were mommy friends that I met at my daughter's school. From left to right: Arlene, Joanna, Gel and Madz, me in the middle, wearing my LC Waikiki preggo shirt.

These are my Auntie Mel and cousins from Makati who helped me cook the delicious party food. So kind of you guys. Till my next party okay? :)

To my media and blogger friends.. thanks a lot for coming. I wouldn't realize something very important about friendship if you girls didn't come. You know what I mean.

A couple of my sweet office friends, Jocee and Emalyn. We used to work together at IVOLINE, Inc. The rest didn't make it so hope to see you all soon.

Now here are my college friends, Edel and Josh. The were the first ones to come. Hehe. Lagi talagang may late sa batch na'to so tama lang na nilagay ko sila sa 6PM!

With Lara and Vince this time. As usual, during gatherings like this, we remember Ran and started missing him again.

With my goofy almost 5 year old daughter. Look how tall she is. I can't believe how fast she's growing and I have another baby girl on the way.

A crib full of gifts. As requested, I received mostly baby toiletries like shampoo, lotion, wet wipes, etc. Others gifted baby clothes and accessories.

The first gift I opened came from Edel. She gave me baby bibs and booties.

My 33rd birthday is one of the happiest ever. Aside having a birthday party and baby shower with my friends, my family had a separate celebration at Vikings, and to top it all, hubby bought me a new Canon EOS 60D. Thanks God for giving me thoughtful friends, caring relatives, and a loving family. My life has never been better and more meaningful.
