Sale Find: Cage Heels

I have been wanting to buy a new pair of caged heels, but couldn't find the best brand with a reasonable price. Remember, I used to have olive caged heels which I bought during a super shoe sale in Megamall? I gave it away to one of my cousins because I had trouble wearing them. I thought letting go and passing them on to someone with slimmer feet was the best thing to do. Oh well, honestly my first crush was my friend's sexy strappy heels that time. Too bad no more stocks when I checked the store to get myself the same pair.

As you can see, a lot of luxurious and high brands carry caged shoes. In a collage above, my favorite has is Pour la Victoire's. Surprisingly, it is the cheapest among the six brands. Now good news for me.. I found a perfect pair of caged heels during a weekend sale at Primadonna. Not to mention, it is a cross between my friend's sexy strappy heels and that Pour la Victoire shoes up there. Dyarraannnnn!!!

My current favorite pair of shoes.

A size bigger but still fit my toes well.

I feel so lucky to have found this.

Look at that sexy zipper back! :)

I was not supposed to buy it 'cause there were no more size 7 when I visited the store, but I had trouble sleeping and kept blaming myself not being able to get them. Haha. I went back to the store the next day and bought the size 8. Good thing this pair still fits me so no regrets. I love it to bits!

Till We Meet Again

This photo of me and my college friends was taken at Manila Peninsula 2 years ago. In the middle was a dear friend named Ran.

Six months ago, I visited Ran at a hospital in Ortigas. A month after, we saw each other again for dinner in Boni High Street. That time, he already resigned from his call center job and was under medication.

My friends and I after a scrumptious dinner at Slice.

In less than 4 months, Ran was hospitalized again with a very serious illness. My friends and I were able to visit him a couple of times before he passed away yesterday. He was supposed to turn 32 on December 3 and prior to his hospitalization, not knowing that his chance is recovery was small, I started planning our year-end, slash Christmas party, slash birthday party. This Thursday, we will visit his wake to finally say goodbye. He was cremated at The Heritage Park in Taguig 3PM today.

You know, I've never been this sad for a friend. We met in college and shared a lot of memories together. We practically learned a lot together, went through passing a subject and boycotting a professor (we were that bad) together, and later on, job hunting until we found our respective careers, etc.

I miss him. I miss those times that we used to attend English classes. I missed those times that we used to commute from the school in Taguig where we used to work (as teachers) to University of Makati where we both took graduate units.

Above all, I miss his jolly personality, his smile, his jokes and all the funny stories we shared. It is so sad but I know God has a better reason why He took my friend this early. I am somehow relieved thinking that Heavenly Father did not allow him to suffer anymore pain.

For you my dear friend.. I love you and God be with you till we meet again.

Not So Forever Forever 21

I guess you saw this Forever 21 top in a mini haul post HERE. I paid over a thousand pesos for it. It is black and has gold dots with uneven hemline or called mullet. I really loved the way it looks so I didn't mind paying more for a top that could be half cheaper in other stores.

This item waited a lot in my closet though. I finally got to wore it one family day at the Ocean Park the previous month.

Happy that I already trimmed down some extra fat. Now I feel more confident wearing see through and sleeveless tops again.

To my dismay, patches of golden dots faded on my Forever 21 mullet top. I noticed it while at the park that day.. glitters all over my arms and jeans.

This closer shot of the top is ugly. I don't know if I should rub all the remaining dots so I can wear it again casually or just leave it alone and wear it at home.

The back is better but it looks like these dots will later all fade in a due time.

I love shopping. Most of all, I love shopping for sulit items. Too bad I thought I bought a quality product from Forever 21 but this top is nothing but a disappointment.

Now, anyone here can suggest of a remedy for this? Thank you so much in advance! :)

OOTD: So Pink in Scarf Print

Hello! I bet you ladies are still on vacation. So, how's the graveyard visit, your homecoming and the family gatherings? As for me, we basically just stayed at home. Later today though, we are heading to a neighboring city for some gastronomic experience at a Turkish restaurant. Yay, that means I am having a food post soon. Before the food post, let me just share what I wore to the only show I attended at the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013.

Sorry, I thought it was the last day to wear pink. Haha. I bought these pants when I was in the middle of my goal to lose weight.

I purchased the item even I had muffin top in the first fitting. Now hooray 'cos it already fits perfectly!

With Earth, Jing, our kitties and teeny weeny pink bags after the SM Kid's Fashion show.

What I basically wore:

What do you think of scarf print trend? Do you have a scarf printed item in your closet? How do you wear it? Share share share.

Halloween Trick or Treat at My Daughter's School

My daughter's Halloween celebration in her school was remarkable. Actually, she also attended our community Halloween party on the same day and wore a fairy costume, but the party she had at school was way more enjoyable. What made it enjoyable were her awesome friends and classmates. Plus, I am friends with the mommies of her friends so I had fun too.

That's my cowgirl on the left doing her imaginary rope trick and saying "yeee-haw". Her friend Carylle wore a princess costume, Trish in Japanese cosplay and Masy in purple fairy.

If there is a cowgirl.. there should be a cowboy too. It was just a little hard gathering the kids for a photo op with their teacher. Everyone was so excited to get Halloween goodies. Haha.

And.. off they went trick or treating to the house of pupils who live nearby. First stop was classmate Marla's house. They prepared balloons and sweets for the kids.

Look at those oranges they decorated to look like jack-o-lanterns. So creatively cute! :)

Hey, someone is getting more candies! Hihi.

The daughter was so active and funny that day. Before we went trick or treating, we lined them up again for another photo op. Click click click. We were busy taking photos, all the kids said nothing and just smiling for the camera, except for my daughter who blurted, "Ufff.. enough taking pictures. Let's go to Marla's house to get some candies!"

At first, I couldn't believe that she actually said that but everyone heard it. I was a little embarrassed that she talked that way yet feeling proud that she is able to express herself well. In school, she is that girl who would always say, "Teacher, I want to tell you something.." and teacher listens to her story.
