I remember wearing a peplum top for the first time in high school. It was a vintage piece from one of my aunt's closet from the 80's. Actually, the top had a black and white polka-dotted skirt to pair with. I wear it to a school program one day and I really felt fabulous with it. Fast forward to two months ago, I bought myself a black peplum skirt very much similar to what Alicia Silverstone is wearing in the photo. Unfortunately, the poor thing is just waiting in the closet together with the mullet top which I bought months ago from Forever 21. Yay, I know the trend will stop anytime soon so I am planning to wear them at least once. Perhaps to the coming Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013!
So, do you have any peplum piece? How do you wear it? Any suggestions on how to wear a basic peplum skirt?
I love peplums! I had a black peplum skirt but my maid carelessly burned it while ironinng. :(
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, it'll look great on bustier tops or any fitted tops (with or without sleeves). Since it's black, you can play around. Puwedeng plain, puewede rin with bold prints. :)
Thanks sis! I have a floral bustier top in my closet but it is showing too much boobs. Haha. I guess hanap nalang ako ng ibang pwede i-pair sa peplum.
