Best Dressed (and Worst) at Star Magic Ball 2012

Most female celebrities came in either black or white gowns during the recent Star Magic Ball held at Makati Shangri-La. If last year's theme was black and red, this year is all about black and white. Actresses like Maja Salvador, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales and many more looked stunning in gowns with sheer and intricate designs. On the other hand, some celebrities showed up lacking charm and sophistication with the dress they've chosen for the event. Who are they? Check this photologue!




Let's start with Kathry Bernardo in a simple fits-her-age gown. She won the Star Magic Breakout Style award.



Dubbed as the Female Star of the Night, Maja Salvador, wore this gown by Avel Bacudio. Very pretty.



Kim Chiu in a Tan Gan creation. She and Xian Liam received the Couple of the Night award. Thumbs up!



Julia Montes took home the Sweetheart of the Night award. Her gown by Pepsi Herrera looks like a fusion of Kim's and Pokwang's. Not really liking this.



Jessy Mendiola in a lovely Nat Manilag gown. I like the bodice of her dress a lot.



Yeng Constantino in a white and nude lace dress by Albert Andrada. Nice!



Maricar Reyes also came in white. She received the Fab Pair award together with Richard Poon.



Pokwang in a white gown with train and black front detail gown by Dong Omaga-Diaz.



Regine Tolentino looked like she gain weight. She was slimmer the last time I saw her at EDSA Shangri-La.



I think Shaina Magdayao wore the longest train that night. Her gown is by Amir Sali.



Dimples Romana in a black and white Perry Tabora dress. I don't know what to say. You?



The Female Stunner was no other than the feathered Bea Alonzo. Her gown was created by Rajo Laurel. I didn't like her dress, but I don't hate it too.



Nikki Valdez also came in a Rajo Laurel. I love her hair. So bagay with the leather top detail of the dress.



Carmen Soo in black long dress. Hey, why not try Angelinajolie-ing? :)



Carmina Villaroel, the Hot Momma awardee, in a dress by Paul Cabral. Ganda ng lola mo! Truly a hot momma!!



Melissa Ricks in a sheer gown with sheath silhouette.



Beauty queen Venus Raj wore sheer as well.



Erich Gonzales in a Francis Libiran gown. Sheer is the trend!



Angelica Panganiban wearing Ellie Saab's dress.

Coleen Garcia (right) in a one-shoulder gown. Simple number but very pretty. I wanna own that dress!
