Pedicure At Home

I am honestly getting busier and busier these days that my toes are starting to look way older than they are. I am sorry for myself 'cause I badly needed a foot spa and a pedicure but I procrastinated as if I don't know how to DIY. The little one already started preschool and my first day back to graduate school is going to be Wednesday next week. Believe it or not, my last pedicure at home was almost a month ago. A distant relative who is a nail specialist by profession came to my aunt's house where I spent 10 days of my summer vacation. She gave me a manicure, also cleaned and polished my toe nails for free before I left the province. With hubby's 30th birthday, Father's Day and my own birthday coming, I know I really need to glam up a bit before I could roll with those special occasions.

If you are my friend or a longtime follower of this blog, I guess you know that I do my own nails on a regular basis. However, I stopped posting nail updates since December last year. I am still on the process of growing them back so I could paint again. Just imagine being with a pretty active preschooler and a demanding husband (but still sweet) in a 3 bedroom and 3 washroom apartment, plus no helper for 3 weeks. There you go, the reason why I ruined my long nails and had no choice but to cut them short.

There is one thing I can't avoid while waiting for my nails to be in my desired length, though. That's lusting over pretty nail polish, manicure and pedicure sets that I see at beauty shops. In a nearby grocery, they even have a new collection of pastel varnish in pink, yellow, mint green and baby blue which I'm planning to purchase. Anyhow, I don't have plans of going out later today. Perhaps I can manage to clean my toe nails before taking an afternoon nap with my daughter.

  2. I used to DIY but I doubt now if I still can. I find it hard doing it myself as I couldn't reach my toenails anymore because of my belly.

  10. I love cool nails, but I feel so uncomfortable having long nails so I barely never let them grow;/

  11. I haven't had a pedicure for so long too.. :( I tried DIY-ing my nails, but the outcome isn't as good as when an expert does it. *sigh* Anyway, hoping our nails can get glammed up asap.. :)
