Buffet Lunch at Tides

Hello ladies! I am feeling like a food blogger today, so let me share an unforgettable dining experience. The day after the Valentine's, we had lunch buffet at Tides in Shangri-La's Mactan Resort & Spa which hubby and I consider the best food trip we had during our Cebu vacation. Imagine al fresco dining with the chirping of the birds in the background, plus lots of awesome food choices at the buffet table that make you wanna go back for more. Hmmm.. here we go!

This is the main entrance to the restaurant.
If the place is busy, kindly queue to get yourself a table.

Appetizers here.. dessert there..
It's buffet lunch from 11AM to 2PM.

Table settings. It is nice to dine inside noh?
But, so much better to eat outside! :)

First item: noodle soup for my daughter.
This is tasteless. The little one didn't like it at all.

I skipped the salad. This plate is hubby's.
We always have salads at home anyway.

For the main course, he got rice, steamed veggies, grilled beef and baby potatoes.
The beef was a little dry but still tasted great.

This is my plate which was shared with my daughter. She ate fried chicken lang.
I had chopsuey and the very tender lamb with thyme gravy. Yum!

Here comes the sinful dessert.
Mango cake, tart and I-forget-the-rest for hubby.

Fresh mango, orange, pineapple and watermelons for me.
I had another plate of cakes and other sweets but no photo.

My most favorite from the dessert section: creme brulee.
I swear this cup made me forget about dieting that day.

Final Verdict: The noodle soup was a total disappointment but given a chance, I am sure to visit this place again in the future. Dining at Tides is just relaxing with its awesome view. So far, my most unforgettable items from the buffet are the creme brulee and the lamb with thyme gravy. I will definitely go back for them!

Note: We took the day tour for P2500 per person so we got inclusive buffet lunch.
I am not sure how much it is per person if we were to avail buffet lunch alone.

  1. everything looks so delicious

  2. OMG!
My stomach is rumbling after seeing all these
    yummy foods!

  3. Day tour with lunch... that seemed right on the budget na rin. I have been to Cebu twice, but I still haven't fully tried eating out and checking resorts because there was always an itinerary to follow and that we dine at usual fast food joints to save money.

  4. Without the tour the 2500 buffet is pricey. I like the set up i think it's better than Heat in Shangri-la Shaw. I love buffet. Although i don't get to eat that much i love the thought of having more choices. the section for dessert is a must. i can forget about diet instantly with all the sweets =) buffet is best enjoyed with loved ones and family. seems you had a great time there!

  5. The food looks delish! You got me craving for some creme brulee and fresh fruits.:)

  6. YOu're a great food blogger =) Love the pics and the details. The dessert looks gorgeous and enticing. =)

  7. everything looks so delicious! the food pics are just so mouth watering :)

  8. Me wants that Creme Brulee! Sinful desserts, indeed. Thanks for sharing and tempting me. Hahaha! :P

  9. those are really nice and mouth watering food, i liked the ambience too. :)

i wish to have a taste of that experience sometime soon :)

  10. I'm considering Shangri-la Mactan's day tour for our upcoming Cebu trip mid this year, and if it pushes through, I'll look forward to dining at Tides.. :D

Thanks for dropping by. Have a great day!
