Gym Girl

Losing weight after giving birth can be a hard process esp. if you're not used to dieting and exercise. Since I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus during the last quarter of my pregnancy, my OB-Gyne asked me to exercise and follow healthy dieting. Of course, I didn't want to inject insulin and I wanted to give birth to a healthy baby girl so I tried my best.

sweating it all out..

Well, it's been over 2 years now. My baby is already a toddler, but I still have to trim down my post-pregnancy body. Some of you might think I already have a slender figure. No, I don't really have. I just know how to "breathe thin". Yes, I am a size 6, but my goal in going to the gym is to get rid of flabs in my arms and tummy area. The long term goal is to avoid diabetes which a part of my family history (both sides). Up there is a photo of me taken at the gym the other day after over an hour of work out. I started going to the gym again last week. I go from Monday to Friday and I leave Saturdays and Sundays as cheat days.

Basically, I do some sort of warm up before walking, jogging and running in a treadmill. After that, I do some crunches and muscle work out. Good for me that gym membership is free here in our community. The gym is small and crowded during the afternoon that's why I go only in the morning. Hoping to find a gym buddy to help me make my performance better, though. Most of all, looking forward to continue going to gym and later reach my goals.

  2. That's a great practice sis. At least your are trying to become fit and healthy. Being a mom, doesn't always look for kids and attending dh but also making yourself healthy as possible. You need a break also to regain your strength from stress.

    BTW thanks for the comment.

    delaying it. Haha. Katamaran.

But good for you sis. Keep it up. You're already in great shape so konting exercise na lang.

  6. wow! 5 days a week... ang sipag mo naman sis... sana ako din LOL tamad ko talaga pagdating sa exercise. But I remember when I was still in Manila, I used to [brisk] walk every morning on weekdays and morning&evening during weekends kaya pumayat ako. But now that I'm back here in Davao, halos hindi na ako tumatayo dito sa harap ng computer LOL
